Cessationism is the belief that the “miraculous gifts” of the Spirit ceased with the end of the “Apostolic Age.” In this Episode of OFF THE RECORD, Daniel Kolenda begins a series aimed at “The Heresy of Cessationism” prompted by the “Cessationist Conference” which was held the week prior. In Part One of this series entitled “The Scriptures” Daniel begins the conversation by having a look at the common cessationist proof text. Then he contrasts the weak and meager Biblical support for cessationism to the abundant and compelling Scriptural evidence that the gifts continue.
